Open your calendars and reserve July 11th and 12th for Music Hackday for 24 plus hours of solid music hacking in the heart of London. Music Hackday is a chance for developers to get together and share ideas and code while building a music application using the music APIs from companies like Last.fm, 7digital, Gigulate, People’s Music Store, SongKick, SoundCloud and The Echo Nest. This looks to be a really fun event.

Those MusicHackday guys need to sort out their email list. I registered my email address at musichackday.org at the Yahoo! hack last month and they’ve gone and done a big update and not notified me. What was the point of signing up for updates when they don’t notify?
Anyway, good to hear the echonest has been added to the list of participants. Seems to be shaping up to be a great event, I’m planning to do a port++ of my myspace social radio tech to soundcloud + echonest…

I think the website change(s) have been largely superficial, so far… registration appears to be interest registration still, not event registration. I do hope they allow people to register for the event soon, though!
